On 5 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana, Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD). Both sides exchanged views on the ACSDSD’s policy directions and ways to further advance sustainable development in ASEAN. On this occasion, Foreign Minister Sihasak emphasised the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) amidst the current global landscape with growing tensions from geopolitical competition and the need for coherence in ASEAN Member States’ policies on SDGs in order to build on respective national efforts and further advance SDGs at the regional level.
