On 12 July 2023, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Asad Majeed Khan, Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, at the sidelines of the 56th AMMPMC. Both sides sought to forge closer bilateral ties through existing mechanisms and enhance economic cooperation, as well as discussed ways to enhance Pakistan-ASEAN relations.
