On 12 July 2023, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the 56th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (Retreat Session) and discussed finding solution to the situation in Myanmar, underlining dialogue and engagement. The meeting also stressed ASEAN unity with the Five-Point Consensus as the main reference for ASEAN's efforts, continued dialogue, denounced violence, and expedited humanitarian assistance.
