On 25-26 March 2025, Ms. Suchada Maktara, Director of Political and Security Division, Department of ASEAN Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and officers represented Thailand at the 15^th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Open-Ended Study Group on Confidence Building Measures to Reduce the Risk of Conflict Stemming from the Use of ICTs and the 7^th ARF Inter-Sessional Meeting on ICTs in Manila, the Philippines. The meeting discussed activities on ICTs-related capacity and confidence building, including activities to combat online scams and cybersecurity governance that Thailand will be co-chairing in 2025-2026. The meeting also followed up on the implementation of the Hanoi Plan of Action II (2020-2025) and the ARF Workplan on Security and in the Use of ICTs, and exchanged views on cybersecurity developments at the regional and global levels.

On this occasion, Assistant Professor Waraporn Promwikorn, Ph.D. Assistant Secretary-General, National Cyber Security Agency, also briefed the meeting on the developments within the ASEAN Cyber Coordinating Committee.
