On 8 April 2025, H.E. Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, exchanged views on how to promote closer cooperation between ASEAN and New Zealand at the Workshop on 50 Years of ASEAN-New Zealand Dialogue Relations (1975-2025), where he called for more cooperation in combating transnational crime, disaster management, trade and investment, the green agenda, education, and health.

 

Prior to the Workshop, he also met with H.E. Mr. Grahame Morton, Deputy Secretary – Americas and Asia Group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and New Zealand SOM Leader for ASEAN, to discuss on ways to strengthen Thailand-New Zealand and ASEAN-New Zealand relations, especially as this year marks the 50th anniversary of the dialogue relations.
