On 10 April 2025, H.E. Mr Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, on behalf of the Permanent Secretary (ASEAN SOM Leader of Thailand), attended the 4th ASEAN-United Kingdom (UK) Senior Officials’ Meeting in Da Nang, Vietnam. He called for advancing ASEAN-UK economic cooperation on green, smart and creative economies to foster sustainable growth and new economic opportunities in both ASEAN and the UK. He also took this opportunity to propose the ASEAN-UK Dialogue on Sustainability to serve as a platform for policy engagement to discuss ASEAN and UK’s priorities on this issue while also expressing Thailand’s readiness to coordinate and facilitate this Dialogue in the capacity of the ASEAN Coordinator on Sustainable Development Cooperation. 

On this occasion, he also participated in the ASEAN-UK Connectivity Dialogue, held back-to-back with the 4th ASEAN-UK SOM, to discuss more specifically on ASEAN-UK collaboration on financial services and creative economy.
