On 8-10 April 2025, Ms. Suchada Maktara, Director of the Political and Security Division, Department of ASEAN Affairs, represented Thailand at the 20^th ARF ISM on CTTC in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The meeting followed up on the implementation progress under the ARF Work Plan on Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (2024-2026), focusing on five areas of cooperation: (1) drug trafficking, (2) chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) security, (3) transnational crime prevention and countermeasures, (4) human trafficking, and (5) border security management, which is a new area of cooperation.

Thailand emphasised the importance of enhancing regional cooperation in law enforcement, information exchange, best practices, and capacity-building for officials to prevent and investigate terrorism and transnational crimes. Additionally, other international concerns were discussed, including the threat of non-state actors utilizing the internet and technologies, as well as promoting awareness of the dangers to the public and youth groups.
