On 20 December 2018, H.E. Dato Lim Jock Hoi,  ASEAN Secretary-General paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Sontirat Sontijirawong,  Minister of  Commerce during the former’s visit to Thailand.  Both sides had a constructive discussion on the ASEAN Economic Community’s priority deliverables under Thailand’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2019, which included the support for the conclusion of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) negotiations in 2019, the promotion of 4IR for enhanced ASEAN’s connectivity through Trade, Investment and Tourism.  Other key priorities discussed were how to advance Human Capital Development, Innovation, SMEs and full implementation of the ASEAN Single Window in the 10 ASEAN Member States during Thailand’s Chairmanship.
