On 22 January 2026, the Department of ASEAN Affairs welcomed and organized
a briefing session for lecturers and students from the Bachelor of Arts Programme
in Indonesian-Malaysian Studies for International Jobs, Songkhla Rajabhat University,
at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

On this occasion, Mr. Monsak Jangariyawong, Director of the Economic Division,
and Ms. Nipatsorn Kampa, Director of the Socio-Cultural Division, Department of ASEAN Affairs, gave briefings on important developments in ASEAN cooperation under the Economic and Socio-Cultural Pillars, including the establishment of the ASEAN Community, key cooperation mechanisms and meetings under the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC). The session also highlighted Thailand’s role in advancing major areas of cooperation such as trade, the digital economy, connectivity, the environment, transboundary haze pollution, disaster management, and public health.
