On 30 April 2025, Ms. Tiffany McDonald, Australian Ambassador to ASEAN, and Ms. Angela Macdonald, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, to discuss ASEAN-Australia and Thai-Australia relations.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with continued progress under the ASEAN-Australia Dialogue Relations, which celebrated its 50^th year anniversary in 2024. To further strengthen the partnership, the Permanent Secretary called for greater cooperation in tackling transnational crime, trade and investment, education, and youth in ASEAN. Moreover, both sides agreed to support ASEAN Centrality through cooperation under the East Asia Summit and the ASEAN Regional Forum as well as exchanged views on international issues.
