On 1 December 2022, General Supathat Narindarabhakdi, Director-General of Thailand Mine Action Centre (TMAC), along with TMAC’s executive board, paid a courtesy call on Ms. Usana Berananda, Director-General of Department of ASEAN Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of the former’s assumption of duty—with presence of Lieutenant-General Thanapol Pearoon, Chief of Military Affairs Coordination Office to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives from Department of East Asian Affairs.  The two sides discussed cooperation between Department of ASEAN Affairs and TMAC in 2023 to promote Thailand’s role in Humanitarian Mine Action in ASEAN as well as support the work of ASEAN Regional Mine Action Centre (ARMAC).
