On 27 October 2025, Ms. Suchada Maktara, Deputy Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, delivered Opening Remarks for the Asian Dialogue 2025, held at the Jasmine City Hotel, Bangkok.

Asian Dialogue 2025, co-organized by Srinakharinwirot University, the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, and the ASEAN Centre at MGIMO University, provided a platform for academics and youths to exchange views on the future of regional cooperation.

In her remarks, DDG Suchada highlighted various dimensions of ASEAN–Russia Strategic Partnership, including cooperation in politics, economics, energy, science, innovation, education, and youth exchanges, and underscored ASEAN’s forward momentum with the adoption of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045.

Noting the upcoming 35^th anniversary of ASEAN–Russia relations in 2026 as an opportunity to further advance existing cooperation, Ms. Suchada encouraged participants to explore new ideas and deepen their understanding of ASEAN–Russia relations.
