On 31 July 2026, Mrs. Chatvadee Chindawongse, Deputy Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, briefed the diplomatic missions and international organisations in Bangkok on the outcomes of the participation of H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings, held from 20-25 July 2026 in Manila, the Philippines, highlighting key issues discussed during the meetings, including ASEAN centrality, maritime security, economic resilience, and situations in the Middle East and Myanmar.
