On 5 September 2023, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, joined the 43rd ASEAN Summit (Retreat) at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia.
PS Sarun emphasized the importance of maintaining ASEAN unity, centrality and engaging constructively with external partners based on the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) through the ASEAN-led mechanisms. Moreover, Thailand also supports ASEAN ‘s role in addressing the situation in Myanmar, especially through the implementation of ASEAN 5 points consensus.
