On 1–2 September 2025, Mrs. Chatvadee Chindawongse, Deputy Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, met with representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat, as well as with those from ASEAN’s external partners, namely Türkiye; Japan; the Republic of Korea; Australia; and France, in Jakarta, Indonesia, and discussed ways to explore and push forward cooperation on sustainable development in ASEAN while emphasising Thailand’s role as the ASEAN’s Coordinator on Sustainable Development.
