On 30 September 2025, Mrs. Chatvadee Chindawongse, Deputy Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, represented Thailand at the 2nd ASEAN Coordinating Taskforce on Blue Economy (ACTF-BE) in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The meeting discussed the endorsement of the draft ASEAN’s Blue Economy Implementation Plan and exchanged views on each ASEAN Member State’s ongoing efforts in advancing the Blue Economy and how to move forward Blue Economy at the regional level, in particular through enhancing coordination among ASEAN Member States and relevant ASEAN sectoral bodies to promote Blue Economy as a new driver of sustainable and inclusive growth in the region. In addition, the Thai delegation also took part in a mangrove planting activity to support the restoration of the local mangrove ecosystem.
