On 11 August 2026, Mrs. Chatvadee Chindawongse, Deputy Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, participated virtually in the 22nd Coordinating Conference on the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community, held in Manila, the Philippines.

Deputy Director-General Chatvadee briefed the meeting on Thailand’s role, in its capacity as the ASEAN Coordinator on Sustainable Development Cooperation to promote the alignment between the ASEAN Vision 2045 and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through the Complementarities Initiative (CI) 2.0. She also underscored the significance of collaboration with external partners, ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development and Dialogue (ACSDSD) and other related regional organizations in advancing sustainable development cooperation in the region through a wide range of projects and initiatives. These efforts contribute to advancing ASEAN as an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Community in the face of emerging regional and global challenges.
