On 16 September 2025, Ms. Suchada Maktara, Deputy Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, led a group of participants of the “ASEAN-New Zealand Roundtable on the Green Agenda: Working Towards A Sustainable and Green Future”, comprising over 30 representatives from government agencies and private sectors of the ASEAN Member States and New Zealand, to visit the EGAT Learning Center, B.Grimm BIP Power 1 & 2 Co., Ltd., and Bangkadi Industrial Park Co., Ltd.

During the visit to the EGAT Learning Centre, Ms. Saijai Thatavakorn, Director of Corporate Planning Division, Mrs. Ratklao Phanaram, Director of the Environmental Division, and Mr. Kornphat Srisuping, Assistant Director of Power System Planning Division 2, gave an overview of Thailand’s policies on electricity power generation, the use of renewable energy, and energy security strategy.

During the visits to B.Grimm and Bangkadi Industrial Park, the particpants were welcomed by Mrs. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Chairperson of Bangkadi Industrial Park, Ms. Solaya Na Songkhla, First Senior Vice President Corporate Sustainability, and Mr. Anurak Bannasak, Head of Innovation, B.Grimm. The executives briefed an overview of Bangkadi Industrial Park and B.Grimm, particularly on carbon reduction targets and the importance of building community trust and engagement. The participants also had a chance to visit solar floating panels at Bangkadi Industrial Park, where Mr. Pakorn Wattanavrangkul, General Manager, gave a briefing on the overall sustainable management of the Bangkadi Industrial Park, the use of solar floating panels, and water quality management. These study visits provided an opportunity for the participants to discuss and explore ways to deepen Public-Private Partnerships cooperation between ASEAN and New Zealand.

In addition, experts from New Zealand visited “Dusit Arun Park,” the largest rooftop garden in Thailand with over 7 Rai, located atop Dusit Central Park. The Park supports Thailand’s commitment on the green agenda.
