On 9 May 2023, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Taur Matan Ruak, Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, discussed Thailand-Timor-Leste cooperation in capacity building for Timor-Leste and food security. PM Taur Matan Ruak also thanked Thailand’s support for Timor-Leste’s ASEAN Membership, while DPM/FM appreciated Timor-Leste’s support for TH’s bid to host Expo 2028 — Phuket, Thailand.
