Bangkok, 16 September 2024 – The Department of ASEAN Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Interior, and the Creative Economy Agency (CEA), will co-organise a seminar on “Thailand and Creative ASEAN” at Plenary Hall 1 of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC). The event will provide a platform where leading entrepreneurs and stakeholders from ASEAN as well as its Dialogue Partners can share their insights on the growth of the creative industry, discuss the issues of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) protection, and brainstorm paths to enhance Public-Private Partnership within the industry. The aim is to promote further cooperation in the creative sector across ASEAN and its Partners by linking companies and agencies together and providing the governments of ASEAN with policy recommendations directly from stakeholders of the industry.

The seminar will feature exclusive talks and panel discussions from top minds of the creative industry from around the world, from the popular Thai-owned PDM and VINN PATARARIN, to POP MART, UNESCO, the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), and the ASEAN Secretariat. In addition, the event will also feature a special exhibition, showcasing leading design products of Thai and international origins. The event welcomes participation from the general public, especially artists, designers, entrepreneurs, and members of the creative industry.
