H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will attend the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting Retreat (AMM Retreat) on 18-19 January 2025 in Langkawi, Malaysia, at the invitation of H.E. Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia and ASEAN Chair for 2025.

The AMM Retreat marks the first meeting among the ASEAN Foreign Ministers under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship for 2025. At this meeting, the Foreign Ministers will discuss and set out the direction of ASEAN cooperation for 2025 under the Chairmanship theme of “Inclusivity and Sustainability”, as well as follow up on the outcomes of the 44^th and 45^th ASEAN Summits last October  in Vientiane. Furthermore, the Ministers will exchange views on key regional and international issues affecting the ASEAN region.
