On 26 May 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, accompanied H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, to the ASEAN Leaders’ Interface with ASEAN Youth on the sidelines of the 46th ASEAN Summit and other related meetings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

Thailand stressed the importance of youth’s role in driving the ASEAN Community forward and proposed closer collaboration to empower youth to play a more active and proactive role in addressing emerging challenges, including digitalisation and climate action, greater investment in youth development programmes, as well as collective efforts of ASEAN Member States in promoting lifelong-learning and equitable access to quality education and trainings.
