On 8-9 May 2025, Ms. Suchada Maktara, Director of Political and Security Division, Department of ASEAN Affairs, attended the ASEAN Regional Forum Inter-Sessional Support Group on Confidence Building Measures and Preventive Diplomacy (ARF ISG on CBMs and PD), held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The meeting reviewed the progress of confidence-building measures under 4 areas of cooperation for the inter-sessional year 2024–2025, and discussed activities for the upcoming cycle as well as the implementation of the Hanoi Plan of Action II (2020–2025). Participants also exchanged views on possible directions for future cooperation following the conclusion on the Plan of Action this year.
