On 24 September 2025, Mr. Bolbongse Vangphaen, Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs attended the 8^th ASEAN-Pacific Alliance (PA) Ministerial Meeting at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, United States.

The meeting discussed the future direction of ASEAN-PA relations, with Thailand highlighting key areas of cooperation including enhancing trade relations through digital connectivity, promoting sustainable development, strengthening people-to-people ties, and advancing ASEAN-PA engagement.

The ASEAN-PA Ministerial Meeting served as n opportunity for Thailand and ASEAN to broaden cooperation with the Pacific Alliance, leading to greater trade opportunities, cultural exchanges, sharing of knowledge and best practices on sustainable development, as well as strengthening good relations between the two regions.
