เมื่อวันที่ 13-15 ตุลาคม 2569 นายวาทยุทธ วิจารณ์กัยกิจ รองอธิบดีกรมอาเซียน เป็นหัวหน้าคณะผู้แทนไทย เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะทำงานร่วมอาเซียน-จีนว่าด้วยการปฏิบัติตามปฏิญญาว่าด้วยการปฏิบัติของภาคีในทะเลจีนใต้ ครั้งที่ 59 ณ บันดาร์เสรีเบกาวัน บรูไนดารุสซาลาม ซึ่งมาเลเซียในฐานะประเทศผู้ประสานงานความสัมพันธ์อาเซียน-จีน และจีนเป็นประธานร่วม โดยที่ประชุมฯ ได้สานต่อการเจรจาจัดทำประมวลการปฏิบัติในทะเลจีนใต้ (Code of Conduct in the South China Sea: COC)

On 13-15 October 2026, Mr. Vathayudh Vichankaiyakij, Deputy Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, led the Thai Delegation to the 59th Meeting of the Joint Working Group on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (JWG-DOC), held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. The Meeting was co-chaired by Malaysia, Country Coordinator for ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations, and China, and continued the negotiations on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea (COC).
