The 26th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers, chaired by Indonesia, was held in Yogyakarta on 4 February. Themed “ASEAN: A Journey to Wonderful Destinations,” the meeting covered various activities under the ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan 2016-2025. The Ministers encouraged further capacity building for ASEAN tourism professionals, a responsible and inclusive tourism development, and the use of technology to support sustainability efforts in tourism destinations.
